Classification of Wall Panel Materials - Mixed Structures

Nov 22, 2022|

A house with a mixed structure that uses bricks or blocks as walls, reinforced concrete or prestressed concrete as floors. Due to its simple construction and low cost, it is the most widely used structural form; However, due to its large self weight, the seismic resistance of the wall is poor. To improve its seismic performance, reinforced concrete structural columns, also known as seismic columns, are added at the junction of the inner and outer walls and at the corners of the outer walls. Connect the structural columns with the ring beams of the building and roof to improve the overall integrity, strength, and deformation capacity of the house. When a wall is built with hollow blocks, steel bars can be inserted into the holes of the block that run through the top and bottom, and concrete can be poured into the holes to form reinforced concrete columns, increasing the seismic resistance of the house.
